Spaces
Spaces group related projects into a single collaborative environment with a shared voice/video room.
A Space groups related projects together into a single collaborative environment. When you start a session in a Space, everyone shares one voice/video room regardless of which project they're viewing.
Why Spaces?
Without Spaces, each project has its own isolated session. That means switching projects disconnects you from the call, conversations get fragmented across project boundaries, and context from related projects is hard to access.
Spaces solve this by creating a unified workspace where:
- One call, many projects: switch projects without leaving the room
- Shared decisions: decisions are captured at the Space level, spanning all projects
- Meeting context: files flagged as relevant to the current session, scoped per meeting
- Single session: one session covers the entire Space, not individual projects
Creating a Space
- Navigate to your team's dashboard.
- In the Spaces section, click "Create New Space".
- Enter a name (2-100 characters).
- Optionally add a description.
- Click Create.
All team members automatically have access to the Space.
Adding Projects
From the Space settings, add existing team projects. Each project's files become accessible in the workspace sidebar. You can add multiple projects to a single Space.
How Sessions Work in Spaces
Session Model
In a Space workspace:
- One LiveKit room is created for the entire Space
- Participants stay connected when switching between projects
- The AI agent operates at the Space level
- Decisions are captured across all projects
Entering a Session
When you open a Space workspace:
- The system checks for an active session
- If one exists, you are routed into it
- If not, a new session is created and you are routed into it
Note
New session creation is blocked during maintenance windows. You'll see a notification if maintenance is in progress.
Live Session Indicators
Active Space sessions are visible from:
- Team dashboard: Spaces with active sessions show participant count, participant names, and "Join" buttons
- Navigation ribbon: green dot, participant count, and names next to the Space name
- Menu bar (macOS desktop app): live session indicators with unread badges
Space Sidebar Features
When in a Space workspace, the left sidebar includes additional sections not available in standalone project workspaces:
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| Decision Topics | Meeting topics detected by AI, with coverage status and apply actions |
| Meeting Context | Files flagged as relevant to the current session (auto-added on edit, per-session) |
| Meeting | People, Transcript, Chat, Notes, and Recordings sub-sections |
| Your Recent Edits | Files you've recently edited in this Space |
| Plugins | Space Plugins that extend the workspace with custom widgets and renderers |
